Our Little Walking Wonder...

Our 'lil M is walking, in the end it was quite sudden - he'd been on the verge of it for A.G.E.S... but once he made up his mind, it was all on - walking or nothing! I'd say now that he walks 95% of the time, I only saw him revert to crawling once today and that pretty much sums up his life! All or nothing!


So here he is in all his glory - specifically here for the Grandparents and other extended family who have yet to see this feat, and may not see it yet for a while (I suspect that by the time my parents get to see us again, he'll be running... like seriously running)!

Happy 16 months Little Man, we're so proud of you!

VERY Belated Ninja-Bake Post...

It's funny how things work out...
I wasn't planning on doing the Ninja Bake, but it had been niggling me a little bit; I had the confidence and the time this year to actually do this, and it seemed such a cool thing. SO, eventually I made an effort to read up on it, only to discover that the registrations to be a 'Baker' had closed the day before - so I figured 'it wasn't meant to be'!
Next thing I know - there was an e-mail from Sophie thanking me for registering; with enough other details for me to realise that she had the wrong Elizabeth, in the wrong city! But it was a 'God-Incidence', and I just knew it! So I e-mailed her straight back, explained the alter-ego issue, but also let her know I actually was keen... and that is how it got started!
I registered, but it was decided I would pick two families myself - which I had been thinking of doing anyway! So I duly went up to Button's Preschool and asked the lovely Head Teacher to pass on the name…

Loads of people are commenting on the most recent changes in Blogger; most annoyingly, now you have to verify two words, not one... and they are VERY difficult to read. To the point it is almost ridiculous; and some people have stopped commenting altogether.
I have finally worked out (after much frustration) how to turn off 'Word Verification', and am only using the 'Comment Moderation' tool now! Yay for me...

Burnt Potatoes and other things that make me GRUMPY!!!!!

 I had a bit of a burning problem today... not sure if I should be admitting it or not, but here it is!


I, ahhh - burnt the potatoes I was cooking for dinner! Burnt the potatoes I hear you say - how on earth...???!!!! It's really quite simple; I had expected Button to not want to go to bed for another 20-30 minutes, but she cracked up earlier than I had anticipated, and when she cracks - she CRACKS! So I just popped upstairs to put her down, normally this 'little' job only takes about 10-15 minutes, as she quietly 'chats' herself to sleep in my arms. But NO - today she screamed for the first 10 minutes, and then she took another 15 or so minutes to actually settle down and go to sleep... it wasn't until I was in the middle of this saga that I remembered the potatoes AND pumpkin were both cooking on the stove on HIGH!!!!! 
As time went on, I could smell the burning; but I also knew that if I popped Button down I'd have to start again, …
